Rebar isn't just what we do, it's who we are. Shaw Steel Services is more than just a business; it's a testament to the resilience, determination, and vision of the Shaw family. Founded on a strong foundation of family values and a deep understanding of the rebar industry, Shaw Steel Services has emerged as a leader in its field.

In 1967, Glen’s father, Al Shaw, began work in the rebar industry, laying the foundation for our journey. Over the years, he learned the trade from him, honing his skills and understanding the intricacies of the business. Alongside Christine's unwavering support and dedication, the couple has steered the company through years of growth and innovation. Their journey began in 2002 with the partnered establishment of a rebar installation company called B.A.R. Placers, which quickly gained recognition as a top-performing placing team in Calgary and its surrounding areas. Today, they continue their legacy of excellence with their own installation company, Shaw Steel Install. 

In 2018, recognizing an opportunity for expansion, they ventured into supply and fabrication services, aiming to provide a comprehensive solution to their clients' needs. Their passion and commitment to excellence fueled the establishment of Shaw Steel Services, which has since become the fastest-growing rebar service company in Alberta. 

Shaw Steel Services has not only expanded its range of services and capabilities but also its family. What once started as a family venture has now blossomed into a dynamic team, comprising new members who bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the table. Together, this growing team is united by a shared commitment to the company's values and vision, ensuring that Shaw Steel Services continues to thrive and innovate in the rebar industry.
